Our mission

Nature Heroes has two simple aims

  1. Engage primary school children with the wild world on their doorstep.
  2. Build a team ethic that promotes resilience and collective responsibility.

To achieve our objectives we visit schools to deliver interactive and challenging wildlife themed enrichment days with very clear links to the national curriculum across several subjects.  We also run Club Nature – an after school club that offers a more ‘hands on’ approach for children who really feel the bite of the wildlife bug.

How does it work?

children learning nature heroes

Nature Heroes presents pupils with a number of challenges, all of which have a clear curriculum link and are themed on helping native British wildlife that live in our countryside, towns and cities.  On completion of the challenges children earn hero points and hopefully, at the end of the experience they can be awarded the status of a Nature Hero.

All our programme leaders are DBS checked and have substantial experience working within the Primary Education sector both as teachers and members of senior leadership teams.  We believe our content promotes positive learning experiences that have a clear and relevant purpose for children, staff and senior leaders alike.
